Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 2026

Note: This is a placeholder document. A complete privacy policy will be reviewed by legal counsel and published before LearnWith is made available to the general public.

1. What we collect

We collect information you provide when creating a teacher account (name, email address, password). For students, we store first name, last name, username, and password. During assessments, we store audio recordings, AI-generated transcripts, and qualitative feedback.

2. How we use your data

Data is used solely to deliver the LearnWith service — conducting oral assessments, generating AI feedback, and displaying results to teachers and approved students. We do not sell personal data or use it to train AI models.

3. Data storage and residency

All data — including audio recordings, transcripts, and account information — is stored in Canada, in compliance with Canadian federal and provincial privacy requirements.

4. Privacy law compliance

LearnWith is designed to comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation including BC FIPPA, Ontario FIPPA, and Manitoba PHIA as they apply to educational institutions.

5. Data retention

Teachers control data retention. Audio recordings are automatically deleted after a configurable retention period (default: 365 days). Teachers may request deletion of student data at any time from within the application.

6. Student privacy

LearnWith accounts for students are created and managed by their teacher. We do not send email or marketing communications to students. Student recordings and feedback are only accessible to their teacher and, once approved by the teacher, to the student themselves.

7. Deletion requests

To request deletion of your data or a student account, contact us at myta.ai.ed@gmail.com. Teachers can also delete student data directly from within the application.
