About LearnWith

Why LearnWith?

As AI tools become a larger part of students’ everyday lives, teachers are rethinking one of the most fundamental questions in education: how do we know what students truly understand?

Oral assessments have always been one of the most direct ways to find out. When students explain their thinking out loud, in their own words, teachers gain insight that no written test or assignment can fully capture. LearnWith is built on the belief that oral assessments — across any subject, any grade, any format — are a powerful way to check and confirm genuine understanding, support meaningful learning conversations, and help every student grow.

LearnWith gives teachers the tools to make oral assessments practical at scale: easy to conduct, record, and review — with qualitative AI feedback to support, not replace, the teacher’s professional judgement.

What is LearnWith?

LearnWith is an AI-powered oral assessment platform designed for K–12 classrooms. Teachers use LearnWith to conduct, record, and review oral assessments — and to provide students with meaningful, qualitative AI feedback that supports their growth as learners.

Who is it for?

LearnWith is built for classroom teachers and their students. Teachers manage classes, design assessments with rubrics and AI-guided feedback prompts, record student responses, and review the AI-generated qualitative feedback before sharing it. Students log in to view the feedback their teacher has approved for them.

How does the AI work?

LearnWith uses a modern frontier AI model to transcribe student recordings and generate qualitative written feedback based on the assessment rubric. The AI never assigns grades, scores, or numerical ratings — feedback is always descriptive and supportive. Teachers review and approve all AI-generated feedback before it is shared with students.

Privacy and data residency

All student data — recordings, transcripts, and AI feedback — is stored in Canada, in compliance with Canadian federal and provincial privacy laws including PIPEDA. No student data is used to train AI models.

Future development will include support for US data privacy requirements to serve schools in the United States.
